Podcast Competition & Digital Music Competition
Podcast Competition
This competition will encourage individuals to create a podcast channel
under the theme on (1) National Education or (2) Total Defence.
Deadline for submission of their
Podcast is 30 June 2007.
There will be 3 categories:
(1) Students of Primary Schools
(2)Students of Secondary Schools
(3)Teaching staff in Primary, Secondary Schools
Each individual is allowed only a single entry but each institution can
have an unlimited number of participants.
The competition requires each podcast channel to have at least 4 episodes
and as a media clip should not exceed 3 minutes in time.
Judging Criteria:
20% For Creativity
30% For Use of Video, Enhanced Podcasts, PDFs
50% For Content
Training Sessions would be held on 29 and 30 May 2007 and on each day,
there will be 2 sessions with each session being 2 hours long. The
training for students would be held in the morning.
Digital Music Competition
This is a competition for students only and would be held on Friday 1 June
2007 (1st week of the mid-year holidays). Each school can register a
maximum of 5 Students for the competition and be given a time slot when
they would need to report to MSH. There would be 2 labs and
on that day there would be 5 sessions. Students would be given digital
music training on the spot and are required to submit individual
submissions and be able to complete them within an hour.
Deadline for registration for the competition is 18 May 2007.
Prizes would be awarded to the First, Second and Third with 7 merit
placements. Prizes include Apple iPod shuffles, book vouchers and
trophies. Results of competition will be announced in Term 3.
